Synopsis

Directed and written by Sugimoto Daichi, this gripping drama captures the fleeting and fragile lives of young people surrounding a skateboarder who dies in a mysterious fall.
 
On the night of August 31, a teenage skater named Aragaki dies suddenly under mysterious circumstances. When Ko, a high school senior, hears the news, he finds himself reflecting on the friend he had grown distant from. Ko, who lost his mother as a child, recalls how he once slipped away from her funeral with Aragaki – only to be scolded by relatives for being disrespectful. As memories of that day resurface, Ko becomes haunted by an uneasy sense of connection to Aragaki’s death.
