Synopsis

This human drama follows Tsuchiya Kiichi, a 42-year-old manga artist assistant who has spent years working under a legendary manga creator. Frustrated by the success of a younger colleague who has already made their professional debut, his separation from his famous voice actress wife, and his increasingly distant relationship with his beloved daughter, Tsuchiya struggles through a series of personal setbacks. His life takes an unexpected turn when he is invited to join a new manga project alongside a certain “companion,” setting in motion a heartfelt story about adults searching for direction in life.
