SKE48’s Sumire Sato Stars in Her First Lead Role in a Film Adaptation of Match Shoujo

Sato Sumire from SKE48 takes her first solo lead role in the live-action adaptation of the popular manga “Match Shoujo”, serialized in Young Ace. The story follows Rin, a mysterious girl who appears before people burdened by inner darkness, offering “Moso Matches”—special matches that manifest their deepest desires and fantasies in exchange for a portion of their lifespan.

As people hesitantly strike the matches, they become consumed by their newfound fantasies, driven by desires, jealousy, and lies. However, those who indulge in their manifested fantasies soon find themselves paying unexpected and heavy consequences. Sato portrays the enigmatic Rin, while the cast also includes members of the Nagoya-based idol group BOYS AND MEN, such as Kobayashi Yutaka and Honda Takafumi, along with Ono Kensho, known for his voice work in the anime Kuroko’s Basketball.
