Synopsis

Based on a manga by Nakama Ryo, this movie is an unconventional youth coming-of-age comedy in which all members of a family become high school students.
 
The story begins when Ietani Kotaro, the eldest son of the Ietani family who had been excitedly looking forward to high school life, is informed by his father Ichiro on the morning of the entrance ceremony that he will be attending the same high school. Kotaro soon discovers that not only his father, but also his mother Shizuka, his younger sister and elementary schooler Haruka, and even the family cat Gomez will all be attending the same high school as his “classmates.” Thus begins Kotaro’s tumultuous high school life, swept up in the chaos created by his family members.
