Synopsis

Set in 1994, just after Japan’s bubble economy collapse, the story follows Umezawa Rika, a housewife living with her husband, who works as a contract employee at a bank, handling client visits and earning praise for her meticulous work ethic. Despite appearing to live a comfortable life without want, Rika feels an emptiness in her relationship with her indifferent husband, who shows little interest in her. When she encounters Kota, a younger university student, Rika finds herself drawn into a relationship that leads her to dip into customer deposits. What begins as borrowing just 10,000 yen gradually escalates into something much more serious.
