Synopsis

Adapted from a novel by Sumino Yoru, who also wrote “I Want to Eat Your Pancreas,” this coming-of-age novel centers around five high school students – Kyo, Mickey, Para, Zuka, and Elle, who possess the extraordinary ability to perceive others’ emotions.

Ootsuka Kyo, a high school student who feels inadequate, can’t help but be interested in Miki Naoko, nicknamed “Mickey” the popular classmate who wants to be a hero rather than a heroine.
He only watches her from afar as she enjoys herself brightly alongside the unpredictable and free-spirited Kurota, nicknamed “Para.” Takasaki Hirofumi, nicknamed “Zuka” is Miki’s childhood friend and Kyo’s best friend. Although they were meant to remain as “friends of friends” until graduation day, when the shy Miyazato, nicknamed “Elle” stops coming to school, the emotions of all five begin to stir.
