Synopsis

Masuda Yumi works at a pachinko parlor in a rural town to support her household, picking up the slack for her unemployed mother. Her routine life gets a shake-up when she befriends Ishii Haruka, an older, eccentric, and carefree woman who somehow clicks with her despite their differences.
 
One day, Ishii disappears without explanation, leaving behind only a cryptic note: “We are being asked a question by life.” Moved by the mysterious message, Yumi decides to leave her mother and her small town behind. Five years later, now living a glamorous life in the city, she finds herself reflecting on those quiet, unremarkable days and the meaning they held.
