Synopsis
During the spring of 1941, the world locked in midst of WW2, Toshihiko (Kubozuka Shunsuke) leaves his parents in Amsterdam to live with his aunt (Tokiwa Takako) in Karatsu, Saga Prefecture. Starting the new school term, he spends time adventuring with friends Ukai (Mitsushima Shinnosuke), Kira (Nagatsuka Keishi), and Aso (Emoto Tokio) while making mischief with Akine (Yamazaki Hirona) and Chitose (Kadowaki Mugi). In the prime of his youth, he’s also head over heels for his cousin Mina (Yahagi Honoka), ailed by lung disease. But their unfettered adolescence it is about to pass in the blink of an eye, engulfed in a maelstrom of war.
