Synopsis

A human mystery set against the backdrop of Ueno Park in Tokyo – a location where homeless communities once formed tent villages and where food aid services are still provided today. Centering on the idea of “disappearance” as a way of life chosen by one individual, the story explores fleeting human encounters and the fragile connections that pass between people.
 
The story unfolds following the death of an unidentified homeless man known as “Gojo.” After discovering the diary he left behind, social worker Satsuki begins tracing his past with the help of Toshi, a widower who now lives in a park. As they follow the clues, Satsuki learns that Gojo had deliberately severed ties with his own family, a revelation that profoundly shakes her own life.
Kadowaki Mugi portrays Satsuki, an NPO worker supporting people in financial hardship while grappling with a deep sense of personal loss rooted in her upbringing. Takenaka Naoto joins her as Toshi, who accompanies Satsuki on her journey and believes his late wife has been reincarnated.
