Synopsis

17-year-old Suzuki Taiyo is a third-year high school student living on Himakajima, a remote island in Aichi Prefecture famous for pufferfish and octopus. Growing up being called the “Fourth Generation” since childhood, he never questioned it until middle school. However, after interacting with friends at his high school outside the island, he began to question the island’s unique culture, customs, and his predetermined role as the “Fourth Generation,” wondering if this was really the right path for his future. It’s not that he hates the island. Yet recently, he’s been frequently having dreams about escaping from it. Unable to understand his true feelings and lacking concrete goals, Taiyo remains troubled. While helping out at the inn as usual, he explores the island together with two female college students from Nagoya.
