Synopsis

Head chef Uehara Joji is fighting to keep traditional Japanese restaurant “Yurie” afloat — until a free-spirited outsider walks through the door and changes everything.

Three years after losing his father, Uehara Joji inherited the family dining establishment “Yurie.” His culinary skills are beyond question, but he can’t ignore the harsh reality: customers simply aren’t coming. Everything changes when Kim Joo-ri, a young woman who has traveled from South Korea to study Japanese cuisine, stumbles upon the restaurant by chance.
Clashing over their vastly different values and outlooks, the two gradually close the emotional distance between them as they brainstorm ways to breathe new life into the struggling eatery. Through Kim Joo-ri’s uninhibited charm, the people around her find themselves inspired to break free from the rigid world-views they never knew were holding them back.
