Daikaiju no Atoshimatsu

Synopsis

A colossal monster (kaiju) which terrorised Japan to unprecedented levels dies suddenly. While the people rejoice and relief sets in, the celebration is sadly short lived as authorities now have to figure out how to deal with the giant rotting behemoth of a corpse left behind, which, if left to degrade further in its current state could result in an explosion that endangers the fate of the nation.

In a desperate race against time, the responsibility of dismantling the corpse falls to Obinata Arata (Yamada Ryosuke), a man with a mysterious past who had once disappeared three years ago. He is entrusted to lead a Special Task Force on a top secret mission in order to stop the explosion and save the fate of the country.
