Synopsis

A sequel to “Ano Hana ga Saku Oka de, Kimi to Mata Deaetara,” this movie is also based on the novel by Shiomi Natsue.

Seven years have passed since the parting with Akira, who vanished into the sky. Yuri has become a high school teacher – fulfilling a dream she once shared with Akira – and she now leads a busy life. However, her feelings for him remain left behind on that hill of lilies in 1945.
Then, a young man named Ryo appears before her, who bears a striking resemblance to Akira. He is assigned to Yuri’s class as a temporary assistant homeroom teacher.
Amid her inner conflict, the person Yuri encounters is an elderly woman named Chiyo, spending her remaining days peacefully in a hospice. After losing Ishimaru, Chiyo (portrayed in her younger years by Deguchi Natsuki) explored a different form of love.
Entrusted to Yuri by Chiyo is a single book left behind by Akira just before his departure for battle — a book meant as a gift for the future Yuri. What is the message contained within…?
On the night of the summer festival, a miracle descends upon the hill where the stars fall.
