About the Group
Originally announced as a four-membered group in 2013 (Nakama Junta, Kiriyama Akito, Shigeoka Daiki, and Kotaki Nozomu), the members couldn’t accept debuting without Fujii Ryusei, Kamiyama Tomohiro, and Hamada Takahiro, and asked Johnny Kitagawa to add them to the group. A new announcement was made, announcing that Johnny’s WEST 4 would be debuting as a group of 7 named Johnny’s WEST.
They debuted on April 23, 2014, with their debut single Eejanaika.
Following the Johnny Kitagawa scandal, they changed their name to WEST.
