Synopsis

Based on the real-life story of a practicing doctor, the drama follows Tagami Kotoha, who at 16 years old was living a rough life as part of a ladies biker gang when she got into an accident along with her best friend. An emergency operation saved Kotoha’s life but her friend suffered severe brain trauma and never recovered.

As a result, Kotoha threw herself into her studies to become a neurosurgeon, and after years of rigorous training, grows into a top-tier physician skilled in both surgical procedures and endovascular catheter treatments. Impressed by her abilities, Nakada, the surgeon who had previously performed her surgery, invites her to join the hospital where he works.

However, what awaits her there is a harsh reality: an administration that prioritizes the hospital’s profits over patients’ needs, and a rigid, vertical hierarchy where every action requires a superior’s approval and mountains of paperwork.
