Synopsis
“Spice Road”: Culinary Adventure Drama Stars Honda Kyoya on BS-TBS
Honda Kyoya leads the new Thursday drama “Spice.” premiering March 27 at 11:00 PM on BS-TBS. The series follows three unlikely companions: unmotivated driver Yuki (Honda), genius chef Akira (Okuno Sou), and determined hostess Natsuki (Yoshida Rinne) as they travel across Japan in a food truck selling unique curry creations.
Created by Yoshimi Kenji (known for “The Solitary Gourmet”), this culinary road drama showcases local ingredients from each destination through mouthwatering spice curries. The story follows these three individuals with “nothing” – no dreams, money, or connections – as they complement each other’s weaknesses while building their business and discovering more fulfilling lives. Beautiful cinematography captures Japan’s nostalgic landscapes alongside practical cooking techniques viewers can try at home.
