Synopsis

Nakajima Yuto stars in his first WOWOW drama, “Sirius no Hansho,” as a young lawyer trying to save victims of false accusations.

A letter arrives for lawyer Fujishima Shota (Nakajima Yuto), a member of Team Zero, an organization dedicated to helping victims of wrongful convictions. It reads: “Please believe me – I didn’t do it.” The letter is from Miyahara (Gozu Takeo), who was sentenced to death 25 years ago for a brutal family murder. Though Fujishima feels disgust and inner conflict as he sees his own father in Miyahara, his investigation into the case gradually uncovers disturbing inconsistencies that contradict the prosecution’s claims.
 
However, a major obstacle stands in his way – the fingerprint analysis, and with the investigation intensifying the Chief Prosecutor of the Gifu District Public Prosecutor’s Office also takes action.
With Miyahara’s execution drawing ever closer, Fujishima, together with his team, launches a desperate fight for a retrial in what seems to be an unwinnable case…
