Synopsis

Morimura Shoko (Aika Yukihira) is a twice-divorced single mother raising her only daughter while working for a mail-order company. She reunites with her first love, obstetrician Kitada Kazuki (Sho Aoyagi), and the two resume a casual sexual relationship, secretly meeting for passionate encounters.

While staying on a remote island to provide medical care, Kazuki begins to reflect on his life and gradually starts imagining a future with Shoko. Deeply moved by his feelings, Shoko believes the two may finally be able to take a major step toward happiness together.

However, just as they begin to move forward, Shoko’s ex-husband Hiroshi (Toshio Matsumoto) reappears—now acting like a stalker—and attempts to tear them apart. As Shoko and Kazuki’s complicated relationship, rekindled after a reunion at a class gathering, faces new turmoil, the question remains: what fate awaits their love?
