Rikon Shiyou Yo (2023)
Synopsis
Netflix will launch “Rikon Shiyou Yo,” a collaboration project between top screenwriters Kudo Kankuro and Oishi Shizuka for worldwide distribution in 2023.
Shoji Taishi is a new third-generation lawmaker who hails from a family of politicians, and led a sheltered upbringing. A not particularly intelligent womanizer, Taishi has been married to his actress wife, Kurosawa Yui, who earned her big break through a drama series, for five years. They act like a happy married couple for the sake of their work and their public image but their marriage has already largely broken down. The couple rarely communicate except for the odd occasion during live broadcasts on social media, and they rarely see each other at home. Although they are very much discontent with their situation, they cannot divorce immediately due to external pressure from their surrounding families and endorsement deals. As a result, the couple have no alternative but to unite with the steadfast goal of working towards separation.
