Synopsis

Sato Kozo, who operates a seafood processing plant in a port town, is approached one day by a man calling himself a “zegen” with an unusual proposal – a fake marriage to Li Xuelan, a Chinese woman working at a massage parlor in Kawasaki.

 

Xuelan had come to Japan as a migrant worker to earn money for her husband’s medical treatment back in China, and was working at the massage parlor arranged by the broker. Despite his inner conflict, Kozo accepts the broker’s proposal.

 

Meanwhile, the broker continues his revenge against the men who drove his wife to suicide. Eventually, when the broker reaches his “final target for revenge,” he confronts the identity of the mastermind and faces his past.

 

As Kozo and Xuelan, who continue their fake marriage, each reach turning points in their lives, the relationship between these two people who have never even met gradually begins to change.
