Synopsis

Miyamoto Ayumu is a young orthopedic surgeon who returns to his hometown of Nagano Prefecture and takes a position at Shinano General Hospital. In addition to working in the orthopedic surgery department, he is also assigned to work in the mountain medicine department, which the hospital has recently began to focus in. Since graduating from high school, Ayumu has always carried a certain feeling towards the mountains. As a doctor, he has no specific goals and maintains a rather apathetic attitude with modest aspirations, but as he spends time with the mountain medicine team, he gradually begins to grow as a person… Meanwhile, Emori Gakuto is a cardiovascular doctor who works at the hospital but is also a mountain doctor who has achieved international qualifications with overseas experience. Because of his expertise in mountain medicine, the doctor is cautious about venturing into the mountains easily, believing that those injured or sick in the mountains should be promptly rescued and then treated in well-equipped hospitals. While working alongside Ayumu, the two clash often, as he also struggles to overcome a past trauma.
