Synopsis

Everything is eerily similar… A case occurs where a woman is kidnapped and her belongings are sent to her family one after another. Fujiki Naohito plays Zaizen Shota, the president of Zaizen Corporation, who, 18 years ago, when he was working as a private investigator, was approached by a man named Tanioka to investigate a disturbing case. The case involved his daughter being kidnapped, with pieces of her dress and torn fingernails being sent to the family. Now, in the present day, Shota is shaken by a strikingly similar incident. His current comfortable life with his beautiful wife Yufuko (Kichise Michiko) exists because Shota used that previous case to orchestrate a major “scheme.” The real perpetrator of the original crime was never caught. Amid this chaos, Shota’s stepdaughter goes missing, and her belongings begin arriving at their home. Yufuko, plagued by anxiety and harboring secrets she cannot tell anyone, seeks solace by visiting a temple where she finds comfort with the head priest’s wife, Daikoku (Zaizen Naomi) and her son Jakuin (Miyake Ken). Is everything unfolding as retribution for events from 18 years ago? The wheels of fate begin spinning out of control…
