Synopsis

There was once a high-tech robot that saved the Earth from aliens.

Now rendered useless and abandoned in an isolated area after losing knowledge of how to operate it, a professor (Komoto Masahiro) who uniquely foresaw the return of extraterrestrial life forms and continued his independent research had been selecting promising pilot candidates in preparation for the inevitable day. However, when he visits the robot’s control room after several months, he discovers it has somehow become an after-school hangout for local middle school girls (Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku). The girls casually refer to the robot as “Robot-san” or “Robo-san” and continue their idle chatter, completely ignoring the professor’s presence.

 

During this time, one of the mass-produced robots deployed with overseas military forces arrives to attack the city where “Robo-san” lies dormant. As the eight girls and the robot face imminent danger, the dormant machine suddenly activates in response to something about the girls and destroys the mass-produced unit. A profound mystery and bond between the girls and the robot begins to unfold, revealing secrets that connect their fates in ways neither could have imagined.
