Synopsis

Hase Taiga (Akaso Eiji), who has been working part-time at small restaurant was once the ace runner of his university’s Ekiden team, but his career was thwarted by poor performance. Now, though he no longer has  particular dream, he’s gradually begin to find fulfillment in his work such as creating new menu items.

Meanwhile, Park Rin (Kang Hye-won), a South Korean graduate student, spends her days overwhelmed by assignments. Just as she finally manages to turn in her project at the last minute, she receives notice that she must vacate her student dormitory. For a foreigner, finding housing in Japan is anything but easy, leaves her physically and emotionally exhausted.

It is then that the two cross paths by chance at the restaurant. Rin is moved by the onigiri Taiga serves and Taiga in turn, is captivated by Lin’s radiant smile as she eats with delight.
