Synopsis

The protagonist Sudo is a “former demon detective from the First Investigation Division.” Until six months ago, he belonged to the First Investigation Division and was known as a hard-hitting demon detective who worked his way up through the ranks, but he was shot and injured during a certain case. As a result, he was removed from the front lines of investigation and transferred to the “Animal Care Unit,” a dead-end department. While he strongly regretted leaving the field and wished to return, his deep understanding of police organization made him simultaneously realize how difficult that would be. He was beginning to think that age-wise, he should make way for younger officers, and was losing his former passion for investigation. However, when he meets Keiko during his first assignment in the “Animal Care Unit” and solves a case with the help of her animal knowledge, he begins to regain his passion once again.
