Himitsu ~THE TOP SECRET~

Synopsis

The story takes place in the National Research Institute of Police Science’s 9th Forensics Laboratory (also known as the Ninth Lab), this human suspense drama unravels seemingly unsolvable cases using a special MRI technology that can recreate the final memories of the deceased in video form. Tsuyoshi Maki (Itagaki Rihito), a founding member and director of the Ninth Lab, loses his friend and colleague Suzuki Katsuhiro. Soon after, a rookie investigator named Ikkou Aoki (both played by Nakajima Yuto), who bears an uncanny resemblance to Suzuki, is assigned to the lab. As the two witness the deceased’s final thoughts and secrets through the technology, they struggle with guilt and inner conflict while working tirelessly to solve difficult cases.
