Synopsis

Hashida Hajime (Hamada Gaku) has been an employee at a newspaper’s IT systems department for seven years. He is middling in his full-time job but works diligently on his side job of writing manga. However, while being made sport of by his colleagues in the company who have given up on career advancement and have low morale, Hashida wonders if he should go on like this. He starts to examine how he works and lives, and catches glimpses of their pasts and their woes. What is the significance of work and what makes a happy life?
