Gifted Season 1

Amakusa Natsuki, an overconfident genius detective with extraordinary deductive powers, meets a cool high school student, Shiki Yuya who says he can see killers.

Natsuki, intrigued by Yuya, meets him again at the funeral of the murdered wealthy man, Inagaki Gozo, and gets him to cooperate in the investigation. At the funeral, Yuya looks at Gozo's three stepsons. Natsuki also suspects the three brothers at first, but each of them have a perfect alibi. Can Natsuki use his deductive powers to break their alibis?

Natsuki moves into Yuya's home, and the two of them investigate cases as buddies. Yuya's family is the head house of the historic Shikigami-ryu Ancient Martial Arts. Natsuki and Yuya attend a flower arrangement event when they receive an invitation from a Shikigami-ryu assistant instructor, Rin Hiei. During the event, someone collapses and dies.

Natsuki and Yuya go to watch a women's shogi tournament finals. Natsuki is an ardent fan of Todo Shoko, who is considered the empress of the shogi world. Her opponent, Takagi Ayumi, is a young prodigy who is rapidly catching up to Shoko. On the night after the first game, a body is found in the park.

Yuya is impressed by Natsuki's deductive skills and asks him to find the true culprit of his mother's death, in exchange for his cooperation in investigations. Meanwhile, Yuya's classmate is found dead in the school pool.

Within 2 months, three high school boys are found dead on a riverbank. Natsuki and Ryuzaki Mito begin investigating what they consider to be a serial murder. Meanwhile, Yuya finds out that one of the Yonki (four demons), Yuzuki Hyoma, was after the title of Head of Shikigami-ryu.

Natsuki and Yuya go to see Hyoma, the Wind Demon and one of the Shikigami-ryu assistant instructors, in search of the truth behind Yuya's mother's murder. Hyoma, now a stage actor, invites Natsuki and Yuya to the guesthouse where the cast of the play are living together. But that night, the director is found dead in a locked room.

Two former members of the rock band WILDE KATZE, which broke up 2 years ago, are murdered one after another. Natsuki learns that one of the Yonki (four demons), Chosokabe Arata, who is now a guitarist, was also an ex-member.
