Synopsis

In this heartwarming spinoff story, “Alice and Harumi’s New Year Holiday,” we follow the developing relationship between Alice and Harumi during the traditional Japanese year-end celebrations.

While preparing a charcoal kotatsu, Alice remarks, “A sunken hearth is nice, but…” The scene transitions to New Year’s Eve, where Alice and Harumi spend a quiet evening cooking toshikoshi soba together in the kitchen.

As the New Year begins, Alice and Harumi prepare to make mochi using a wooden mortar that Harunobu brought. Though awkward initially, the pair gradually find their rhythm working together to pound the mochi. The story concludes with them enjoying their freshly made mochi on the veranda, savoring a peaceful moment together.
