“What Does Family Really Mean…?”

Shūta Seno, living alone in Tokyo, leads a monotonous life commuting between university and his part-time job. One day, he learns about a job called “Family Substitution Service” and, intrigued by the pay, decides to take on a request.

The conditions set by the client, Yasumoto Keiko, are peculiar: “Act like a real family member” and “Do not discuss work in front of the family.” Despite his doubts about the unusual job requirements, Shūta continues with the assignments.

Although he has avoided forming deep connections with others due to past trauma, Shūta’s routine begins to change gradually with the presence of his friend Fujimiya Makoto and his encounters with Sonoda Misuzu.

As Shūta starts to understand the true meaning of “family” through his work with the Yasumoto family, an event reveals the family’s true intentions…
