From unexpected circumstances to murder, those whose lives have been forcibly taken will appear before “The Gate of Grudge.” There, exploring their memories, souls are urged to make three choices from the mysterious gatekeeper Izuko: accept death and be reborn, become a wandering but resentful spirit, or curse one person of this world and go to hell.

What ultimate choice will they make when shown a side of life they couldn’t see when they were alive? 

Mina (Shaku Yumiko) is soon to marry Kanzaki (Tanihara Shosuke), a detective swept up in a bizarre and gruesome murder case involving dismembered victims — and fate has a tragic twist to bestow. On their wedding day, Mina becomes the fourth victim and, unaware that she has died, finds herself standing before the Gate of Grudge. When given a choice by the gatekeeper Izuko (Shiina Eihi), Mina decides to trace her memories and find the truth behind her murder.

As a continuation from the previous season, Izuko (Shaku Yumiko) remains at the Gate of Grudge as its keeper, guiding those whose lives have been forcibly taken to make one of three choices: to accept death and be reborn, become a wandering but resentful spirit, or curse one person and go to hell.

Ogawa Tamae is a girl without family—or so she thinks. After a traffic accident, she finds herself existing between life and the afterworld at the Tenmasou Inn, a rest-stop where one decides to either return back or move on. Waiting to meet her for the first time are her two older half-sisters, but the extent she spends getting to know familial love and friendship may have to come to end when she makes a decision about where her soul will go next.
