Synopsis

Soma Haruna (Fukumoto Riko) comes from Japan’s northern-most island of Hokkaido to Okayama, on a school trip. Her grandmother has requested that Haruna buys some of the region’s most famous “Muscat of Alexandria” grapes as a souvenir, but Haruna loses her wallet, and only manages to buy two of the Japanese fruit confectionary “Riku no Hoju” which is made from the alexandria grapes. Her grandmother’s reaction inspires her to move back to Okayama where she applies to work for the company that makes them. Instead though she is sent out to work on one of the vineyards that supply the grapes, and through meeting grape-grower Tatsuya Yashiki, learns all about the process of grape-growing. Later, her sister asks her to return to Hokkaido, but sudden floods bury the vineyards under the mud and Haruna decides to stay and try to save them.
