Synopsis

In the winter of 1996, 19-year-old Kudo Junichi was found dead in front of his home, clutching a note reading, “Father, I am free. Goodbye.” The case was quietly shelved as “unsent” evidence in the Kanagawa Prefectural Police archives.

 

Fast forward to the spring of 2015, when a tragic mother-and-child murder case in Yokohama reopens the past. Detective Ishikawa Yuri of the Kanagawa Police’s First Investigation Division is notified of an unexpected visitor.
