Synopsis

Kinoshita Keisuke (Toyokawa Etsushi) is a widowed father living with his young daughter in a factory workshop. He’s a skilled craftsman at a downtown metal processing factory and serves as a Little League baseball coach, known for his cheerful personality. While living happily with his daughter among caring neighbors in their working-class community, Keisuke begins experiencing severe memory loss, leading to his unexpected diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer’s.

His daughter, Kinoshita Miu (Ashida Mana), though mature for her age, is still very much a child. She copes with the loss of her mother through her inherited optimistic personality. However, their close father-daughter daily life faces a dramatic change due to his sudden illness.

The story explores how this father, who has always protected his young daughter, and his daughter, who believed everything would be fine as long as she had her father, face and overcome this devastating reality. How will their strong bond weather this challenge?
