Synopsis

Following the success of “Phantom Night,” “Doppelganger,” and “Metamorphosis,” another work by popular author Higashino Keigo makes its appearance in the drama series W. This medical science human suspense drama explores the themes of “sports genes,” questioning the bonds between parent and child, talent, and what true happiness means.

 

Playing the lead role of Kazami, a genius female alpine skier who becomes entangled in dangerous incidents surrounding her birth due to her genetic pattern that harbors exceptional athletic abilities, is Tsuchiya Tao.

 

Supporting this compelling cast, Ihara Tsuyoshi plays Hiromasa, Fumi’s father and former Olympic athlete who raised her single-handedly, and Hongo Kanata portrays Fumiya, a young man living in a hospital who holds the key to the story. Totsugi Shigeyuki takes on the role of the cold-hearted researcher Yuzuki, with these distinctive actors providing strong supporting performances.
