Synopsis

Yoshimura Takao (Hoshino Gen), a dull 32-year-old salesman at a travel agency, continued to fail at work and was also rejected by the woman he liked. He went out to blow off steam and, without fully understanding what was happening, was injected with stimulants and arrested. Naturally, he was fired from his company. To top it all off, the apartment he was living in caught fire… There was no way he could easily find a property to rent while on probation, and when told, “if this doesn’t work out, you have nowhere else to go,” he was taken to a share house called “Plage” with a café on the first floor, owned by Asada Junko (Ishida Yuriko). “Basic rent is 50,000 yen, cleaning is on a rotation basis, individual rooms are separated only by curtains, but delicious meals are included.” Takao began living there with the intention of staying for a while, until he found a new job. Still, he gets caught up in various disturbances caused by the residents who each have their own “circumstances”—Koike Miu (Naka Riisa), Noguchi Akira (Majima Hidekazu), Yabe Shiori (Nakamura Yuri), Nakahara Michihiko (Shibukawa Kiyohiko), and Kato Tomoki (Suga Shikao)…

Based on the novel “Purajyu” by Tetsuya Honda.
