Synopsis

One day, when the case of the Doizaki couple (Kobayashi Kaoru and Matsuda Miyuki), who had murdered their then 15-year-old daughter and hidden her body under the floor of their home for 16 years, was making headlines in the news, housewife Hagiya Toshiko (Nishida Naomi) visited writer Maehata Shigeko (Nakama Yukie). Toshiko prefaced by saying that her 10-year-old son Hitoshi might have a special ability to “see other people’s memories,” and presented a drawing Hitoshi had made. It depicted a girl with a gray face lying inside a house characterized by a wind vane, and it closely resembled the Doizaki couple’s case. Shigeko half-doubtfully accepted the investigation, but Hitoshi died in a traffic accident. Meanwhile, the Doizaki couple’s second daughter, Seiko (Kaho), is confused when her father’s defense attorney, Takahashi Harumi (Kuroki Hitomi), tells her that her parents are trying to cut ties with Seiko. The seemingly disparate incidents eventually lead to one “truth.” Shigeko’s struggle now begins!
