Synopsis

“Someday I want to perform at Budokan.” As children, brothers Katayama Hajime and Katayama Ryo shared the same ambitious dream. However, their mother’s tragic death drove them down separate paths, fracturing both their relationship and their shared musical aspirations.

Years later, Hajime has formed his band “DYDARABOTCH” with five dedicated members who finally secure their long-awaited live performance opportunity. Unfortunately, their debut show becomes a devastating disappointment when the venue remains nearly empty throughout their set.

The evening’s headlining act features “Heaven’s Door,” a band produced by the now-successful talent producer Katayama Ryo. The moment Heaven’s Door takes the stage, the previously empty venue transforms as crowds flood in to witness their electrifying performance.

Just when things couldn’t get worse for DYDARABOTCH, their lead vocalist suddenly announces his departure from the band. With another crucial live show scheduled for the following week, guitarist Hajime must step up as the replacement vocalist despite his inexperience in the role.

“I want my big brother to acknowledge me again…” Carrying this heartfelt desire, Hajime commits himself and Daidarabotchi to the ultimate goal: performing at the legendary Budokan arena.

A compelling story of sibling rivalry, musical passion, and the relentless pursuit of dreams against overwhelming odds in Japan’s competitive music industry.
