Synopsis

After learning that her mother has only a short time left to live, Michi returns to her hometown. Determined to stay by her mother Kanako’s side, she is met with rejection, and the two repeatedly clash. Meanwhile, Michi is pregnant with the child of her husband, Toshizo, but growing increasingly anxious as she watches him struggle with lingering feelings for his late best friend. When Michi discovers a series of tapes left behind by her mother, she uncovers the truth about Kanako’s “other love.” At last, she comes to understand her mother, embracing the love entrusted to her and finding the strength to move forward.
