Synopsis

This film is based on a nonfiction book written by real estate developer president Yamagishi Shinobu that recounts the real-life case he personally experienced.
 
Todo Shigeru is the president of a major real estate development company listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. In 2019, he is summoned by prosecutors for questioning over a school land acquisition that took place three years earlier. Although Prosecutor Suzunari Michiko initially appears friendly, Todo is arrested 48 days later on charges of embezzling ¥3 billion, accused of conspiring with the school’s already-arrested chairman and Kinoshita, one of his own subordinates.
 
As his detention continues, Todo steps down as president to protect the company he built from the ground up. Encouraged by a letter from his girlfriend urging him not to give up, he resolves to fight for his innocence. Teaming up with an elite legal team that includes a former prosecutor, a former judge, and specialists in criminal defense and corporate law, Todo prepares his counterattack. Their investigation leads them to footage of the interrogation of the arrested employee Kinoshita, where they uncover a shocking truth that could overturn the entire case.
