Synopsis

This film is the latest entry in the ENBU Seminar Cinema Project, the same program that produced the hit film “One Cut of the Dead.” The story unfolds in a unique “couples format,” where each scene is composed in a 1:1 frame featuring two characters at a time. Centered on the emotion of “love,” the film presents an ensemble drama in which the relationships between characters evolve dynamically.

The story is set in a seaside town at the beginning of summer. Yuka, who has just divorced Haruki after three years together, goes on vacation with her best friend Shiina and Shiina’s boyfriend, Dazai. There, Yuka reunites with her former lover Dazai, and her feelings for him begin to resurface. Meanwhile, Shiina finds herself drawn to Tenma, a poet who lives in the town.
