Synopsis

Based on the true story inspired by the memoir of Endo Nadoka.
 
In 2018, Endo Nodoka, then 21 and living in Aomori, was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer, with a five-year survival rate of just 13%. Her partner at the time, Shoichi, responded firmly, “I will never leave you,” and the couple went on to hold their wedding ceremony.
Their story was featured on the popular TV program Waratte Koraete! (Nippon TV), in the segment “Kekkonshiki no Tabi”, which drew widespread attention and emotional reactions.
Eventually Endo Nodoka made the decision to stop receiving chemotherapy and pursue her wish to have a child. She continued writing in her diary, reflecting on life and death, until her passing in September 2021 at the young age of 24.
Kawaguchi Haruna takes on the role of Endo Nodoka, while Takasugi Mahiro will take on the role of her husband Shoichi.
