Synopsis

The story begins when a well-respected lawyer is fatally stabbed. The case appears solved when a suspect confesses, stating “I did it. I am the culprit behind ‘all the incidents.'” However, Kuraki Kazuma, the suspect’s son, and Shiraishi Mirei, the victim’s daughter, both sense something troubling about their fathers’ actions.
Kazuma questions “Why did my father commit murder?” while Mirei wonders “Why did my father have to be killed?” When these two individuals — who should never have met — join forces, the “truth” begins to unravel.
