Strobe Edge

WOWOW has announced that the popular manga Strobe Edge will be made into a 2 part series to air in Oct 2025.

In the drama, Fukumoto Riko – who also appeared in the film adaptation of Io Sakisaka’s Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare (Love Me, Love Me Not) – plays the heroine, high school student Kinoshita Ninako. Takahashi Kyohei portrays her first love, Ichinose Ren. Centered on these two characters, the series vividly depicts a coming-of-age ensemble drama about high school students grappling with the quiet turmoil of unspoken crushes.

Kinoshita Ninako, a gentle and honest girl, had never experienced the feeling of love. One day, she runs into her classmate Ichinose Ren on the train ride home. As they continue to cross paths, she gradually finds herself drawn to the quiet kindness he keeps hidden. Ninako begins to feel an ache in her chest, as if something has pierced her heart. Eventually realizing that these emotions are what people call “love,” she gathers her courage and confesses her feelings to Ren.

Season 2.
Centered on Kinoshita Ninako and Ichinose Ren, the story portrays a group of high school students navigating their own unspoken crushes, capturing their bittersweet youth with stunning, cinematic beauty. This is the continuation of the first season, starring Fukumoto Riko and Takahashi Kyohei.
