Synopsis

Launched on May 9, 2003, Hayabusa encountered numerous troubles, including fuel leaks, communication blackouts, and the failure of all four main engines, yet still managed to reach Itokawa. What was planned as a 4-year, 3.5 billion-kilometer journey extended to 7 years and 6 billion kilometers, with Hayabusa miraculously returning to Earth on June 13, 2010. The film depicts this 18-year project while weaving in themes of parent-child bonds and renewal among the people involved in the mission
