Synopsis

The story follows Nakayama Aoi (Yanagi), the sole member of her high school’s film club. Her greatest inspiration is the legendary actor from her hometown, Ryu Chishu. One summer afternoon after school, Aoi discovers a tattered script in the clubroom. “What is this script? Who wrote it, and what were they feeling?” Her imagination starts to run wild.

Burdened by the pressure of choosing her path after graduation and weighed down by gloomy days, Ao finds herself lost—until one day, she hears the song “Rainy Blue” playing on the radio and quietly wonders, “What am I even doing with my life?”

Her strained relationship with her father, the teachers whose intentions remain unclear, and her quirky classmates all add layers to her coming-of-age journey. Set in the Tamana region, the birthplace of Ryu Chishu, the film gently portrays 17-year-old Ao’s everyday life and the subtle shifts in her heart.
