Synopsis

This work is a “complete one-scene, one-cut” drama filmed in entirely one take. In 2011, “Short Cut” was broadcast as the first installment, followed by the second installment “Dai Kuukou” in 2013. “Oi, Dazai,” produced after approximately 10 years of planning as the third installment, unfolds as a time-slip comedy set by the seaside.

Tanaka Kei plays Komuro Kensaku, an ordinary company employee who admires Dazai Osamu. On his way home from a wedding reception attended with his wife Miyoko, he wanders into the seaside area where Dazai once attempted a double suicide. Excited about visiting a place connected to Dazai, Kensaku proceeds into a dark cave despite being warned not to, where he encounters a man who looks exactly like Dazai.
