Synopsis

In the heart of the wilderness, a cafe offers comforting bread and coffee to those with troubled hearts, presenting a humanistic drama that promises to be heartwarming.

Located in Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost region, a young couple has set up a new cafe amidst stunning natural scenery. The husband bakes bread, and the wife makes coffee and prepares seasonal dishes. The visitors, each bearing emotional scars—a young woman recovering from heartbreak, a girl distressed by her parents’ divorce, and an elderly couple facing their own issues—are warmly welcomed by the couple, who quietly offer them support.

This drama, overflowing with kindness, is set against the backdrop of Hokkaido’s beautiful yet harsh four seasons. The film features an array of breads and seasonal dishes that soothe the souls of those in need. The warm-hearted couple is portrayed by Yo Oizumi, a well-loved actor known for both comedic and serious roles, and Tomoyo Harada, who has maintained her charm since her debut in the 1980s.
