This film follows the continuation of the beloved manga that has previously been adapted for both film and television. The movie showcases the unconventional journey of Yajima Kintaro, a former delinquent turned determined salaryman, as he courageously confronts massive corporate interests with his indomitable spirit. Directed as the second installment in a two-part series, this adaptation brings the legendary character to life, highlighting themes of personal resilience and corporate challenge.

Yamato Construction newcomer Yajima Kintarō is assigned his first major project: a geothermal power plant in Kyushu. Brimming with enthusiasm, Kintarō heads to the site, only to face a series of challenges, including a boycott by subcontractors and fierce opposition from local residents. Amidst the turmoil, he finds himself helping out at a hot spring inn while recovering from an injury. As he spends time there, Kintarō begins to uncover the townspeople’s true feelings and the hidden circumstances surrounding the project.
