About the Group

Elephant Kashimashi is a Japanese rock band from Kita, Tokyo, debuting in 1988 under Epic/Sony records with their single “Dede” and self-titled album. In 1981, junior high classmates – respective guitarist and drummer – Ishimori Toshiyuki and Tominaga Yoshiyuki officially formed the band together. The vocalist and second guitarist, Miyamoto Hiroji, joined later on during their third year of juinor high, but it was not until 1986 that Takamidori Seiji – Yoshiyuki’s classmate – became part of the group as their bassist. This finalized the band’s lineup–one that remains active to this day.
